Companion Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Companion, published by FCT Technologies LLC.

Using Companion

Companion keeps your pets’ health records and reminds you before something is due. Using it requires an FCT account, which stores your records so they reach every device you sign in on.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you record, and for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not use Companion to store anything you are not entitled to store.

Not veterinary advice

Companion is a record-keeper, not medical advice. It does not diagnose conditions, interpret symptoms, recommend treatments, or advise on dosing. Reminders reflect dates you or your veterinarian recorded, nothing more. Always consult a qualified veterinarian for your animal’s care. Never rely on Companion for an urgent medical decision.

Companion Pro

Companion is free to use for one pet, with the full record-keeping loop, records, scanning, Siri, and reminders, included.

Companion Pro is an auto-renewing subscription that removes the pet limit. It is offered monthly and yearly, with a free trial for new subscribers. Current pricing is shown in the App Store before you purchase, in your local currency.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings after purchase.
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

If your subscription lapses, you keep full access to every record already in the app, including for pets added while subscribed. The limit applies to adding another pet, never to viewing or editing what is already there.

Availability

We aim to keep Companion and its sync service working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Companion’s records remain readable on your device when the service is unreachable.

Your data

Our handling of your information is described in the Privacy Policy. You may delete Companion’s data, or your entire FCT account, from within the app at any time.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
