Convoy Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Convoy, published by FCT Technologies LLC. They sit under the FCT Technologies terms of service, which cover the FCT account and the systems every FCT app shares.

Using Convoy

Convoy runs time-boxed sessions where a small group driving or riding together shares live location for the length of the trip, and keeps a garage of your vehicles and their service history. Using it requires an FCT account.

You are responsible for what you put into the app and for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not use Convoy to store anything you are not entitled to store.

Ride safely, and obey the law

Do not operate Convoy while driving or riding. Set up a session before you move, use CarPlay, the Lock Screen, the Dynamic Island or your watch for glanceable information only, and pull over safely before you interact with the app. You are responsible for obeying every traffic law and for your own attention on the road at all times. Nothing Convoy shows you overrides what you can see out of the windscreen.

Location sharing is between you and your group

A session shares your live location with the people in it, for the length of that session only, and stops on arrival. Only join a session with people you intend to share your location with, and only invite people who have agreed to share theirs. Convoy does not track you outside a session you joined.

Not navigation, safety or mechanical advice

Position, gaps and alerts are estimates from your devices’ own sensors and can be late, wrong or missing entirely, especially where signal is poor. Do not rely on Convoy for anything safety-critical. The garage features, including maintenance predictions and the warning-light identifier, are informational only and are not a substitute for your vehicle’s manual or a qualified mechanic.

What it costs

Convoy is free to use. There is no subscription and no in-app purchase. If that changes, these Terms will change with it and the date above will move.

Availability

We aim to keep Convoy and its sync service working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. What is already on your device stays readable when the service is unreachable.

Your data

Our handling of your information is described in the Privacy Policy. You may delete this app’s data, or your entire FCT account, from within the app at any time.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
