Quick answers

Where is my inventory stored?

On your device and in your own private space in your FCT account, so it reaches every device you sign in on: your rooms and items with their values, your walk sessions and transcripts, the photos of your belongings, and the recordings of the walks themselves. Homestead requires an account and is not a device-only app; we would rather say that plainly than let the on-device extraction imply otherwise.

Is my walkthrough recording uploaded?

The transcription is not. Speech recognition runs entirely on your device, and so does the extraction that turns your words into items. The recording itself is stored in your account alongside its transcript so it reaches your other devices, and we say so rather than let the on-device transcription imply the audio stays put.

Can the app decide what my things are worth?

It can propose, and nothing more. A replacement value the AI suggests is marked proposed and is excluded from every total and every export until you confirm or type it yourself. That holds however the item was created, including through Siri: a value spoken to the add-item intent lands as proposed like any other.

Does Homestead collect analytics?

There is no third-party analytics SDK, no advertising identifier and no cross-app tracking. Homestead does report anonymous diagnostics to FCT, crash and performance data, a trail of screen and action names (never content), and feature-use counts, keyed to a random install identifier that is joined to no account and carries nothing you typed, viewed or stored.

What happens if my subscription lapses?

Your inventory stays whole and fully readable, including items added while subscribed. The 25-item cap applies only to adding another counted item, and the PDF export returns when Pro does.
