Quick answers

How do I cancel a workout that's in progress?

Open the active workout and use the Cancel button in the toolbar. You can also say "Hey Siri, cancel my workout" or run the Cancel Workout shortcut. Canceling discards the in-progress session; it doesn't affect history.

Where is my data stored?

Villain Arc keeps a full local copy on your device so the app is fast and works offline, and syncs it to your FCT account on infrastructure FCT Technologies LLC operates. That account store is the canonical copy: it is what puts your plans and history on your other devices and what restores them if you reinstall. Villain Arc does not use iCloud or CloudKit. Separately, the app always sends crash and usage diagnostics: no user content, no free text, and keyed to a random per-install identifier that is never joined to your account.

How do I enable or change Apple Health permissions?

Open Settings → Apple Health from inside the app to see current status. To change category-level permissions later, go to the iOS Settings app → Apps → Health → Data Access & Devices → Villain Arc.

How does the AI workout plan generator work?

It uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models to draft plans from your goals, equipment, training style, and history. Generation happens on your iPhone: no part of it is sent to an AI service, FCT's or anyone else's. Plans you accept become regular Villain Arc plans you can edit, run, and progress.

How do I sync between my iPhone and another iOS device?

Sign in to the same FCT account on both devices. Sync is automatic from there; the first download on a new device may take a few minutes. There is no iCloud setting to turn on.

How do I delete all my app data?

Deleting the app removes the local copy from that device, but your FCT account still holds your data, so a reinstall and sign-in brings it back. Settings → Account has the two real doors: delete your Villain Arc data (which leaves the account itself and your other FCT apps alone), or delete the whole account and everything in it. Signing out is neither: it clears this device only, and only once everything on it has finished syncing, so it can never lose a workout.
