Memory Lane Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Memory Lane, published by FCT Technologies LLC. They sit under the FCT Technologies terms of service, which cover the FCT account and the systems every FCT app shares.

Using Memory Lane

Memory Lane sits beside your photo library and keeps what the pictures meant: who is in them, where they were taken, and above all your own words about them. Using it requires an FCT account, which stores your annotations so they reach every device you sign in on.

You are responsible for what you put into the app and for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not use Memory Lane to store anything you are not entitled to store.

Your photo library is never modified

Memory Lane never deletes, edits or moves anything in your Apple Photos library. Apple Photos keeps the pixels; Memory Lane keeps the understanding alongside them. Removing Memory Lane removes what Memory Lane wrote, and leaves your library exactly as it was.

Other people in your photographs

Photographs contain other people, and recognizing and naming them is something you are doing. You confirm that you have whatever permission your local law requires before naming a person in your library, and you are responsible for what you write about anyone. Keep in mind that what you record about another person is subject to the same law that governs any other record you keep about them.

What it costs

Memory Lane is free to use. There is no subscription and no in-app purchase. If that changes, these Terms will change with it and the date above will move.

Availability

We aim to keep Memory Lane and its sync service working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. What is already on your device stays readable when the service is unreachable.

Your data

Our handling of your information is described in the Privacy Policy. You may delete this app’s data, or your entire FCT account, from within the app at any time.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
