How it works
Talk. Don't type.
Start a walk and narrate. "65-inch television, about four years old. Grey sofa, bought it in 2023." Homestead listens, transcribes on your device, and turns the walkthrough into a list of what you own, with photos on every item and on the walk itself.
Homestead proposes a replacement value for each item, on your device, from what you said. A proposed value is never counted. It sits greyed out until you confirm it or type your own, because a total built on guesses is worthless to an adjuster.

Homestead, answered
01 Does Homestead value my things for me?
It proposes a replacement value for each item, on your device, from what you said about it. That proposal is never counted. It sits greyed out until you confirm it or type your own, so your home total is made only of numbers you stood behind. An adjuster can't use a total built on guesses, and neither should you.
02 Will my insurer accept the PDF?
It's built for exactly that: room by room, with photos, categories, brands, serial numbers, quantities and the values you confirmed, in a clean document you can hand over or attach to a claim. It's not an appraisal, and the terms say so. It's the proof of what you owned.
03 Where is my inventory stored?
On your device and in your FCT account, which is what puts the same inventory on your iPad and your Mac and gives it back after a reinstall. The walkthrough is transcribed on the device. You can delete your Homestead data, or the whole account, from Settings.
